Our story

Math Mastery for All began with one student who loved olympiad maths and wanted younger children to get the same head start without paying for it.

How it started

  1. Learning

Tanish Jain worked through the Kumon mathematics programme to its Grade 12 level by the age of ten. Olympiad problems became the part of maths he enjoyed most: short questions that reward a clever method over a long calculation.

  2. Teaching

During the COVID-19 pandemic he began teaching students online. He found that the tricks that had helped him most — the patterns of Vedic maths, and the steady repetition of Kumon-style worksheets — worked for them too, once each one was explained simply.

  3. Building

In 2025, after about five months of research and curriculum development, he turned those lessons into this website: five chapters of video lessons and original worksheets, and full practice papers with answer keys for Grades 2 to 5. That year he mentored 55 students through the programme, who between them won 31 awards at the American Mathematics Olympiad. Mid-Day featured the project in November 2025 and again in January 2026.

  4. Growing

In 2026 the practice library expanded to Grades 2 to 12 and a weekly hint-ladder problem was added.

What we do

We provide free, high-quality olympiad preparation for young students who would otherwise pay for coaching.

  • Free, always

Every video lesson, worksheet, paper and answer key is free. There are no paid tiers and nothing to sign up for.

  • Method before speed

Each topic teaches one reliable shortcut, inspired by Vedic maths, then practises it with Kumon-style worksheets until it becomes a habit.

  • Evidence in public

We publish which contests our students enter and how they place, so parents and schools can judge the results for themselves.

The team

Math Mastery for All is student-led. We are adding volunteer tutors so the programme can reach more children and keep running through exam seasons.
