The course
Five chapters that cover the arithmetic and geometry olympiads test in the primary years. Each topic has a short video lesson on a faster method, inspired by Vedic maths, and a worksheet you can print to practise it.
Chapter 1Numbers up to 10,000
Place value, and quick methods for the four operations.
Chapter 2Factors, multiples and order of operations
Divisibility rules, factor trees, BODMAS and exponents.
Chapter 3Fractions and decimals
HCF and LCM, and working with fractions and decimals.
Chapter 4Real-life calculations
Money, time, and units of length, mass and volume.
Chapter 5Basic geometry
Naming shapes, area and perimeter, and angles.
Build your own test
Pick the topics, pick the length, get it marked.
How to use it
Pick a chapter
Start at Chapter 1, or jump to the topic your child finds hardest.
Watch, then practise
Each topic has a video lesson on one shortcut, then a worksheet practises it until it sticks.
Check with the chapter test
A short test shows what has been mastered and what needs another pass.
Sit a timed paper
Try your own grade, plus one grade below and one above, under exam timing.
Problem of the week
A new olympiad problem every Monday, with three hints you can open one at a time, the way a tutor would give them.
What is 1 + 2 + 3 + … + 19 + 20?
- Adding one by one is slow. Try pairing numbers from the two ends of the list.
- 1 + 20 = 21, 2 + 19 = 21, 3 + 18 = 21 … every pair makes the same total.
- Twenty numbers make 10 pairs, and each pair is 21.
Show the answer
10 pairs of 21 make 210.
Build your own test
Choose a grade, tick any topics from the five chapters, pick 5 to 25 questions, and get it marked on the page with working for every question. Fresh questions every time.
Olympiad problems with hints
70 hand-picked problems, plus a fresh problem whenever you want one: 169 kinds of question from past olympiad papers, each with new numbers every time, a three-step hint ladder and a worked solution.
